Challenge: Cloud spend had increased dramatically over a 12 month period consuming their total 3 year commitment. They needed an independent review of their cloud governance and consumption models to reduce costs fast.

Insight delivered a structured and methodical service to help the client make informed decisions about the right level of governance and corporate policy across their cloud platforms. With technical recommendations to help significantly reduce future costs.
Challenge:
The organisation relied on technology to support its dynamic operations They needed to implement new solutions at a cost-effective price and in a timely manner and were struggling to achieve this with their current supplier.
Solution:
They decided to partner with Insight on its server refresh project and we delivered the speed and cost-effective pricing the client wanted.
Now, Insight is the client’s go-to IT supply chain partner — providing hardware and software on a regular basis.
Challenge:
The client needed to develop a strategy to ship and deploy 17,000 laptops in 68 countries – all within a limited seven-month time frame. The company’s original IT supply chain model could no longer support such a major undertaking. The company also didn’t have the support system to deploy to the 68 countries earmarked for this rollout.
Solution:
Insight’s global reach combined with our global alliance partner network allowed us to offer a truly global solution with local customer service across multiple hardware vendors. Due to our multiple vendor relationships, we were able to accommodate the client’s request for a Choose Your Own Device (CYOD) business model.
Challenge:
A large retailer had mixed application ownership across five different business units with no overall view on actual usage and consumption. Support costs were increasing and they needed to reduce their exposure.
Solution:
Insight defined a group wide view of their support requirements and provided a clear understanding of available options. Leading to a recommended path to restructure their support agreements for Oracle technology products with large cost savings.
Challenge:
A large manufacturing client with over 6,000 users started negotiations to optimise their licensing by moving editions within their infrastructure. This prompted receiving an audit notification from Oracle. They knew the user population exceeded their entitlement and deployments in virtual server environments had created undefined risks.
Solution:
Insight analysed their deployment position and options available to understand the risk. A mitigation strategy was developed around their virtual environment to reduce risk and support was provided in their vendor discussions and settlement negotiations to move to a new licensing model.
